Hi there! I’m Emily Hodge, the baker and decorator behind Emily’s Edible Art. I’m based in Columbus, Indiana, where I specialize in creating custom cakes and cookies to help make life’s special moments a little sweeter.

My journey into baking started back in 2010, when a couple of friends talked me into joining a beginner cake decorating class at Hobby Lobby. At the time, I was studying to become a CPA, but I decided to give it a try. I had no idea how much I’d enjoy it! Before long, family and friends were asking me to make cakes for birthdays, showers, and all kinds of celebrations.

After our daughter was born in 2013, I chose to leave the accounting world to stay home with her. Soon after, I began experimenting with cookie decorating, and my love for baking grew even stronger. Fast forward twelve years, three boys, and countless cakes and cookies later, I now run my home bakery full time.

When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m usually with my husband, Ryan, and our four kids, keeping up with the everyday adventures of family life.
